VIRGINI BEACH, VIRGINIA: Gerald S. Divaris, chairman and CEO of Divaris Real Estate, Inc. (DRE), announced the signing of six leases totaling 69,700 square feet of retail space in the metropolitan Washington DC market.  Negotiations were handled through the Washington DC office of DRE.

Hobby Lobby leased 57,497 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased Laurel Glen Shopping Center located at 45315 Alton Lane in California, Maryland. Hobby Lobby is an Oklahoma City-based chain of retail arts and crafts stores that operates 600 store locations nationwide. Other tenants in Laurel Glen include: Food Lion, CosmoProf, Advance Auto Parts, Long & Foster Real Estate, Sterling Optical, and Cricket Mobile. Susan McGee of Divaris Real Estate represented the landlord, Shanri Holdings Corp in the lease negotiations.

Maximum Fitness leased 4,311 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased Discovery Crossing Shopping Center located at 8425 Woodsboro Pike in Walkersville, Md.  Maximum Health and Fitness is a fully functional 24/7 health club facility that offers group fitness and personal training services for men and women throughout the California, Maryland area.  DRE’s Rob Gray and Joe Farina represented the landlord, Discover Holdings, LLC, in the lease negotiations.

Case Design/Remodeling leased 3,300 square feet of retail space located at 1327 14th Street NW in Washington, DC.  With offices in Maryland and Virginia, Case Design/Remodeling is the area’s largest full-service remodeling organization, and one of the largest in the nation.  They provide clients with a unique mix of design, building, and home care services as well as Internet design and building tools. DRE’s Gray handled lease negotiations on behalf of the landlord, Gerard Brothers, LLC.

Phoenix Nails, LLC leased 1,631 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased Warrenton Towne Centre located at 579 Frost Avenue in Warrenton, Va. Current tenants at Warrenton Towne Centre include: Food Lion, Tagaloo, CVS, Gold’s Gym and Triune Shooting Sports. Brandon Howard of DRE’s Washington DC office represented the landlord, Kalis Holdings, LLC, in the lease negotiations.

America’s Wing leased 1,557 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased Seven Oaks Shopping Center located at 2288 Bluewater Boulevard in Odenton, Md. This is a first-time concept for an experienced restaurant operator. DRE’s Howard and Farina represented the landlord, Cambridge Property Group, in the lease negotiations.

Complete Nutrition leased 1,404 square feet of retail space in the Princess Shopping Center located at 10045 Baltimore National Pike in Ellicott City, Md. Complete Nutrition is a network of high-quality nutritional supplement retail stores whose mission is to create safe and effective weight loss management, sports nutrition and general health programs to help customers look better, feel better and perform better. Howard of DRE’s Washington, DC office and David Redmond of DRE’s Virginia Beach office represented the tenant in negotiations with the landlord, Michael N. Stavlas.
