VIRGINIA BEACH, VA: Gerald S. Divaris, chairman and CEO of Divaris Real Estate, Inc. (DRE), announced six leases totaling 27,861 square feet of retail space throughout the Hampton Roads metropolitan region.  Negotiations were handled through the Virginia Beach and Newport News offices of DRE.

Five Below leased 8,500 square feet of retail space in Greenbrier Square Shopping Center located on Battlefield Boulevard at Interstate 64 in Chesapeake, Va. The retailer offers merchandise for five dollars and less for teens and pre-teens. Five Below was founded in 2002 and has grown to more than 430 stores in 27 states.  DRE’s Mary McGovern represented the tenant in the lease negotiations with the landlord, KB Chesapeake, LLC.  DRE is the exclusive tenant representative for Five Below in the southwest Virginia region. Five Below is one of more than 75 retailers nationwide that are represented by Divaris in their search for new sites.

Taste Unlimited leased 6,031 square feet of retail space located at 407 West 21st Street in Norfolk, Va.  Founded in 1973, Taste is Virginia’s leading family-owned and operated specialty food experience, with eight locations throughout the Hampton Roads region. The lease was handled by DRE’s Sezin Cortinas on behalf of the tenant in the lease negotiations with the landlord, 20th Street Associates, RLLP.  Cortinas represents the retailer in its search for new sites throughout Virginia.

Supreme Styles leased 6,000 square feet of retail space at the Divaris-leased and –managed Williamsburg Marketcenter located at 6610 Mooretown Road in Williamsburg, Va.  Supreme Styles is a local supplier of wigs, beauty supplies, jewelry and accessories.  The lease was handled on behalf of the landlord, American General Life Insurance Company, by Missy Martinovich of Divaris Real Estate.  Other tenants in the shopping center include:  Ross Dress for Less, Dollar Tree, Verizon Wireless, Supercuts, Tropical Smoothie, and Quiznos.

Sleep Number leased 3,000 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased Marketplace at Tech Center located at 12090 Jefferson Avenue in Newport News, Va.  Sleep Number operates 500 stores throughout the U.S. and employs over 3,300 associates. The lease was handled on behalf of the landlord, IREIT Newport News Tech Center, LLC by DRE’s McGovern and Erica Rorrer.  The “first-to-market” retailers in Marketplace at Tech Center include: Whole Foods, DSW Shoe Warehouse, Stein Mart, ULTA Beauty, Carters, OshKosh, Five Below, Zoe’s Kitchen, Café Rio, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro and BJ’s Brewhouse. Marketplace at Tech Center is the retail component of Tech Center at Oyster Point, a $250 million mixed-use development on 100 acres in the heart of Newport News.

Domino’s Pizza leased 2,364 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased Wilsondale Shopping Center located at 1220 North King Street in Hampton, Va.  Founded in 1960, Domino’s is the recognized world leader in pizza delivery operating a network of company-owned and franchise-owned stores in the United States and international markets.  Aeri Jai of Divaris Real Estate, handled the lease on behalf of the landlord, Wilsondale Partners Mixed Use LLC.

Density Vapor leased 1,966 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased Manor Commerce Center located at 5595 Portsmouth Boulevard in Portsmouth, Va.   Density Vapor strives to provide its customers with all of the hardware and liquid options to quit smoking cigarettes and switch to vaping. DRE’s David Bickford and Eric Hammond represented the landlord, Haysom Street Associates, LLC, in the lease negotiations.
