Western Retail Advisors Helps Bob’s Discount Furniture Open Four New-to-Market Stores
All four stores are set to open across the Valley of the Sun by Labor Day.
PHOENIX, AZ (August 5, 2020) – Bob’s Discount Furniture, one of the fastest growing furniture retailers in the country, will celebrate its first four store openings in Arizona this month. The first-to-market Desert Ridge Marketplace store is opening this Friday, August 7th, with three more opening before Labor Day at the Arrowhead Festival Shopping Center in Glendale, Crossroads Towne Center on the border of Chandler and Gilbert, and in Tempe at the Groves shopping center. Bob’s was represented by Neil Board and Ryan Desmond at Western Retail Advisors.

All four Phoenix Grand Openings will be celebrated on September 1 with a ribbon cutting ceremony and in-store fun. As part of the Grand Openings, Bob’s will also be making a donation of $2,500 to four local non-profits.
Bob opened his first store in central Connecticut in 1991. Out of the gate his store was different. There were no sales or gimmicks. There were no pushy sales people or shady gimmicks. Bob wanted his customers to feel as good about shopping Bob’s as they felt about their new furniture. The cherry on top? He included free candy, cookies, coffee and ice cream in all his stores. Today Bob’s has over 120 stores coast to coast, and yet “Bob’s Way” keeps them honest, transparent and fun.

Looking ahead to 2021, Bob’s is moving forward with their regular expansion plans, expanding at a pace of roughly 15 to 18 new stores every year. “We took proactive health and safety measures, and our business has been positive since we’ve reopened,” said Roger Dunlap, SVP of Sales and Operations at Bob’s Furniture of the COVID outbreak. He added that the company feels optimistic about its growth plans, despite the pandemic, because “the business model of providing quality furniture that everyone can afford is working.”
