WASHINGTON, DC: Gerald S. Divaris, chairman and CEO of Divaris Real Estate, Inc. (DRE), announced three leases totaling 5,713 square feet of retail space in the metropolitan Washington DC market.  All negotiations were handled through the Tysons Corner, Virginia office of DRE.

Beauty Systems Group leased 2,800 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased Laurel Glen Shopping Center located at 45315 Alton Lane in California, Maryland. A division of Sally Beauty, Beauty Systems Group (BSG) is a network of stores and professional sales consultants selling exclusive professional salon brands to licensed beauty professionals. The landlord, Shanri Holding Corp., was represented by DRE’s Susan McGee.  Other tenants in the shopping center include Food Lion and Advanced Auto.

Sweet Frog Enterprises leased 1,500 square feet of space in Perry Hall Marketplace located at 9643 Belair Road in Nottingham, Md.  Sweet Frog opened its first premium frozen yogurt store in Richmond, Va., in 2009 and has expanded to over 300 stores in 25 states and international locations in the Dominican Republic, Egypt, United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates.  DRE’s McGee represented the landlord, Perry Hall Maryland, LLC, in the lease negotiations.  Other tenants in the Divaris-leased and –managed Perry Hall Marketplace include:  Safeway supermarket and gas station, Bank of America and Great Clips.

Capital City Organics leased 1,413 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased property located at 3744 10th Street NE in Washington, DC.  The lease was handled on behalf of the landlord, The UIP Companies, Inc., by DRE’s managing broker, Joseph Farina and Brandon Howard.
