VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA: Gerald S. Divaris, chairman and CEO of Divaris Real Estate, Inc. (DRE), announced the signing of five leases totaling 9,960 square feet of new and renewed retail space on the Southside of Hampton Roads, Virginia.  Negotiations were handled through the Virginia Beach, Virginia, office of DRE.

Ashley Stewart renewed its lease for 4,000 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased Victory Crossing Shopping Center located at 4000 Victory Boulevard in Portsmouth, Va.  Ashley Stewart is a global fashion brand that stands for uncompromising style, fashion, fit and empowerment for the woman who flaunts her curves.  George Fox of Divaris Real Estate represented the landlord, Portsmouth Associates, LLC, in the lease negotiations.  Victory Crossing is anchored by Farm Fresh and Lowe’s Home Improvement.

Mainly Gray leased 1,760 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased Boulevard Shops located at 920 South Battlefield Boulevard in Chesapeake, Va.   Mainly Gray Boutique specializes in women’s vintage clothing, local art, beautiful jewelry, and unique children gifts.  DRE’s Eric Hammond represented the landlord, Battlefield Boulevard, LLC, in the lease negotiations.

360 Vintage Designs and More leased 1,500 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased Larkspur Square Shopping Center located at 4720 Princess Anne Road in Virginia Beach.   360 Vintage Designs has gently used clothing and accessories for men and women, including plus sizes.  Hammond represented the landlord, Aegean Associates, in the lease negotiations.

Pizza Hut renewed its lease for 1,500 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased and -managed Glenwood Shoppes located at 8401 Hampton Boulevard in Norfolk, Va.  Pizza Hut, a subsidiary of Yum! Brands, Inc. (NYSE: YUM), operates more than 16,000 restaurants in more than 100 countries. DRE’s David Bickford represented the landlord, Midlantic Builders, in the lease negotiations.

Applied Martial Arts renewed its lease for 1,200 square feet of retail space in the Divaris-leased and -managed Brenneman Farm Shopping Center located at 4540 Princess Anne Road in Virginia Beach.  Applied Martial Arts specializes and are certified in the following arts: Applied Wing Chun Kung Fu, Moo Duk Kwon and WTF Tae Kwon Do and Derobio Escrima under the Pedoy Family linage and are certified under the General Ablen School of Escrima, Honolulu, Hawaii.  DRE’s Levi Thomson handled the lease negotiations on behalf of the landlord, Brenneman Farm Retail Associates, LLC.
