South Omaha Revival: Local Firm Leads Sales for Major Redevelopment Projects

Significant change is coming to the historic South Omaha area and ACCESS Commercial, LLC, an Omaha-based full-service commercial real estate organization, is pleased to be a part of this community revitalization.

ACCESS Senior Associate, Danielle Lowry, represented the Sellers for the upcoming redevelopments of the 23-acre A&R Salvage industrial property and the Salvation Army warehouse. These new developments will have a recreation and wellness campus, as well as a newly built residential community.

The Intersections, erecting on the prior A&R Salvage land near 28th and Vinton, will be an extensive campus composed of the first e-Sports arena in Nebraska, as well as offer cutting-edge fitness and sports facilities. Technology, health, and community centers will make up the rest of the campus. This $100 million development project will directly impact and benefit Omaha, creating many local jobs and providing an all-in-one place to access wellness, medical, and recreational services.

On 25th and Center, where the prior Salvation Army warehouse and offices operated, Clarity Development has plans to build a five-story, 174-unit apartment building and 24 row houses. These affordable living spaces will range from one to three bedrooms. They will feature ample parking, with garage spaces available, as well as a community lounge, fitness center and playground.

Danielle has represented these Sellers in 21 transactions; however, she expressed these two dealings have been her most gratifying due to the renewal this will bring to the area. “South Omaha has been an underserved community for too long,” said Danielle. “The Intersections is going to offer beneficial and convenient healthcare and recreational services, as well as open many jobs for this community. Then considering the affordable living options Clarity’s residential community will also provide to this neighborhood, will fulfill several needs in this area.”
